Hey Y'all!

As some of you may or may not know, I am graduating from Colgan High School on June 5th, 2021 - a whole year early! Instead of going off to college, next year I'll be taking a gap year with the ministry organization, World Race!

With Covid pushing schools to go online and the mid-year decision for my family to move from Virginia back to South Carolina, I felt led to finish high school early. Since I already had all the necessary credits to graduate, this wasn't a difficult transition. The next question was, what do I do next? While I could go ahead and go to college early to begin my path towards a career in nursing, I decided that I was ready for a break from school and a chance to serve the Lord and grow. So, I began looking at Christian gap year programs, and I quickly landed on this one, The World Race! 

What is the World Race? Well, put simply, I will be spending 9 months going to 3 different countries with 30 strangers. We will be going to Costa Rica, Cambodia, and Romania with 3 leaders. We will helping local churches with ministry and outreach and we will also be doing evangelism, service projects and bible distribution. While on this trip, I hope to grow my relationship with God, and to find independence and direction for my next steps in life.
